Wonderland Arts offers a colorful environment for children to  play and get some social time in before school and after school, including extended summer hours. Our creative and loving teachers provide fun activities to give kids plenty of opportunity to stay busy and productive.  We especially enjoy providing art projects, music and movement, storytimes, and plenty of playtime with constructive toys.  Located in the heart of downtown Durham, Wonderland Arts offers an original and cozy atmosphere in the historical Iron Gate Square building on West Main Street.  Many parents find our program convenient for their little ones who attend Indigo Montessori School, also located in our historic building.  We provide care for infants through age 6 during the school year and during extended hours offered throughout the summer.

Q. What are Wonderland’s hours of operation?

A. Our Before-School program starts at 8am. Children will attend Wonderland until 9:25am at that time they will be escorted over to Indigo if enrolled there. Children attending other nearby schools will be picked up by 9:30. Our After-School program begins at 1:30pm until 5:30pm.

Q. Can I use Wonderland’s Before-School or After-School program on an as needed basis?

A. Yes, although there is no guarantee that we will have a space available! All that we ask is that you give us a few days notice to ensure that the appropriate staffing needs are met. There will be a $25 fee/day for those attending our Before-School program on an as needed basis and a $65/ day fee for our After-School program.

Q. What is Drop In care? How much does it cost?

A. Space permitting. Drop In care is $50 for up to 4 hours for our students that are also enrolled at Indigo, and $65 for all other students.
